Bah, okay this photo sucks(because of the camera, not the photographer). So I edited the color of the doors (since they were a very odd shade of green). Will likely resubmit once I receive better photos from photographers at the event.
Costume Details:
A number of different materials were used for this. Everything silver consists of satin. Red, some non-stretch fabric I forget at the moment. Black and purple, of lycra fabric(swimsuit material). The "bolts" were molded out of air-dry clay then painted with acrylic paint. The yellow cord is an actual high-visibility electrical cord. Re-painted Master lock for the lock near the neck. Elastics and ribbons for the wires. Lots and lots of epoxy all throughout.
Took about 2 weeks to make, but about 3-5 hours each day. So yes, that is a lot of time.
It looks good on you. Really impressive. The cords, the headgear, etc. Amazing how you made this costume. I can see you really put a lot of effort on this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
