Sure, freedom is awesome, you think you're free until you realize there's something bigger out there

I both agree and disagree with you lol Yes, there are a lot of free watercolor guides/tutorials and resources online but the decision to charge for a tutorial is completely up to the artist. Just like some photographers choose to let their photos be freely used as stock images while others charge for the same or similar image.

I have free guides on my site all the time but that's again up to personal preference :aww:

Wanted to add - this also makes it "exclusive" so that not ever person access the same stock image or guide which may result in the same artwork/painting/photomanipulation etc

Well, I really didn't think my style would appeal to everyone when I put this out there. There are a number of people who are interested in learning how to paint in my style and this data point has garnered sales on my behalf, but you're not one of them and I can't blame you for that.

I took the time to look at your gallery and found your portrait of Loki quite good, the draftsmanship was at a pretty advanced level. I believe you have a talent in portraits and should work more to cultivate it.

right, and thanks, but it would benefit if the tutorial would explain how instead of just painting the female figure head, it could explain to paint different forms and other things in general. Im sure it's a good tutorial, but art is so unlimited, idk

There's plenty of free content on deviantART you can avail of- including free tutorials you can find in my gallery. Since when have artists, like anyone else, sold anything to make a living? I have a family and household to feed just like everyone else.

I wouldn't worry about it. There will always be a complainer who takes issue with something not paying attention to anything besides their own little world.
